Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year Yet!

May you and your loved ones be blessed with happiness, love and friendship.

Thank you so much a wonderful and inspiring Fall session. I really enjoy having you hear and very happy you chose me to teach you! To my new subscribers and future students – Welcome! To all of you, I sooo look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Here is the schedule for upcoming workshops and courses. I hope that these dates work for you for the ones you are interested in. I will keep the day and evening classes for the 6 week course, but if not enough students to fill both, then it will be evening only, as I have a lot of custom work to do. Will give it my best shot so you are not disappointed.

Drop in classes are available for the evening course @ $60 per 2.5 hours if you only need a little help. Depends if some room is available! Price increase on some classes – Unfortunately my costs have gone up [quite awhile ago!] and have had make changes – some I just reduced the size but could not do that to everything. Also, too many hours spent consulting before classes started, so had to allow for that too.

Need more info?
Just give me a call, or the workshop/course descriptions are on the web site or drop in & get a printout! Would love to see you.

NEW WORKSHOP!!!

Finally, I have introduced the Mosaic Direct to Mesh Workshop that has been in my mind for years! This is the technique I used for the mosaics in the floor. This can also be used on walls, doors, tables, etc. Lots of info and hints.

At this time of year, we all are so busy and here I am adding to it! So much to tell you.

My new web page is up and running and so beautiful – Kris at Halftone Pixel is the most awesome webmaster and so fun to work with.
There are two videos featured with links to You Tube, and if you have a moment, it would be much appreciated if you could view them, any comments or feedback would also be appreciated.

V.I. Tourism did 360 photos and are so amazing and fun to play with! They usually only do 3 or four but were excited about our house and gardens and did more. Lucky!

Closed for the month of January

Only took a few days off this year and need some time to do [or not do] stuff! Hee hee! You can still email or call.

Your Chance to shine!

There is Student Portfolio that needs your input! If you email pictures of your creations, I will upload to my website. REMEMBER to rename the photos with an appropriate title. Ex. Maureen’s first[ or 2nd or 3rd] Stained Glass dragonfly window. Or Stained Glass Table lamp, stained glass orange and textured clear abstract window, mosaic glass honey bee table. If you put stained glass/mosaic glass, Google may pick up on it!

Why do I love glass work?

I believe creativity nourishes the soul, especially glass as it changes all day long creating a new “picture”. Not only does it inspire, working in glass uses both sides of the brain, making it truly wonderful. Art in any form allows you to go to another place and recharge your batteries!

Private Workshop/Class

Private classes are available for help in designing, colour/glass selection, soldering and other techniques. This can be cost effective and very productive as I am totally focused on you and your project. I keep you on track, as my fee is $90 per hour.

Just a Reminder

No room to work at home? Want some company? You can come and work in the studio if you would like, Wed. to Sat. from noon to 6:00, no need to call first, you just might have to wait a sec until I clean a spot for you! I work until at least 9:00 pm. On those days, so evenings can work too if this better for you. Just let me know. $5/hr includes grinder time. Free for current students. No instruction or teaching – not fair to the other students! Tools available as well if needed. Please call for more info.

Chitchat

No chitchat this time – I have already talked your ears off!

Just a laugh for you, before I go!

Santa was very cross. It was Christmas Eve, and nothing was going right. Mrs. Claus had burned all the cookies. The elves were complaining about not getting paid for the overtime they had worked making toys and were threatening to go on strike. The reindeer had been drinking eggnog all afternoon. To make matters worse, a few of the other elves had taken the sleigh out for a spin earlier in the day and had crashed it into a tree. Santa was furious. “I can’t believe it! I’ve got to deliver millions of presents all over the world in just a few hours, and all of my reindeer are drunk, the elves are walking out, and I don’t even have a Christmas tree! I sent that silly little angel out hours ago to find a tree and he isn’t even back yet! What am I going to do?” Just then, the little angel opened the front door and stepped in from the snowy night, dragging a Christmas tree. The angel said, “Yo, fat man! Where do you want me to stick the tree this year?” And thus, the tradition of angels atop the Christmas trees came to pass…
