Chitchat
The fall classes were wonderful!! The newbies made beautiful windows and did great work – so proud of them! I can see an awesome future for these budding glass artists. The intermediates and advanced group are glass artists for sure! Their attention to detail and workmanship is exciting and very rewarding for them and for me as their instructor. So very proud of them too. I wish all of you could have been here to see their beautiful glass artwork in person – pictures never do justice. I am never going to give up teaching – I love it so much! Haha, I think the guy upstairs is laughing!
David is busy finishing the stair rails and the tower windows and lamps are all installed! We must do a major clean for a photo shoot for Nest magazine later this month. Exciting!
We had permanent lights installed showcasing the roof lines – holy it has been fun playing with all the colors and designs – I can create my own too! I have been waiting years to have lights on the house – yeah!
Private Workshop/Class
Private classes are available for help in designing, colour or glass selection, soldering and other techniques. This can be cost effective and very productive as I am totally focused on you and your project. I keep you on track, as my fee is $90 per hour.
Just a Reminder
No room to work at home? Want some company? You can come and work in the studio if you would like, Wed. to Sat. from noon to 6:00pm. Please call first in case I have a workshop or class! I work until at least 9:00 pm on those days, so evenings can work too if this is better for you. Just let me know. Cost is $5/hr. which includes grinder time. FREE for current students. No instruction or teaching – not fair to the other students! You must clean up before you leave!!! Tools are available as well if needed. Please call for more info.
Just a laugh for you before I go!
An exercise for people who are out of shape: Begin with a 5-pound potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold for one minute and then relax. After a few weeks, move up to ten pond bags. Then try 50 pond bags and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-pound bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for a full minute. Once you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.
Thank you so much for your time, support, and interest for this newsletter!! Take care, cheers 🙂
