Glassing time starting soon!

To all of you, I sooo look forward to seeing you! Pepper and Ezzy too!

Don’t know about you, but I am almost “gardened out” and ready to create something beautiful!

Here is the schedule for upcoming workshops and courses. I hope that these dates work for the ones you are interested in.  Please click on the title of the course or workshop to get more info on hours, descriptions and costs. You may need to scroll down to veiw the one you want!  Cinnamon coffee, music and house tours are of course included!

Sept 26 & 27           – Weekend Copper foil Window Workshop or    

                                        Refresher Window Workshop

 Oct 03 & 04            – Glass Cutting and Master Pattern Workshops

 Oct 07 to 10            – Appointments for help to be ready for the 6 week

                                       course – no charge

  Oct 17 &18.            – Weekend Leaded Window Workshop

 Oct 22                    – Beginner/Intermediate 6 Week Course 

                                        Afternoon – 1pm to 3:30pm

                                                            OR

                                         Evening – 7pm to 9:30pm

                                         (Afternoon is almost full!)

 Nov 14                   – Glass Etching

 Nov 28                  – Soldering Workshop

 Dec 05                  – Bevel Box Workshop  

 Heads Up! – The following workshops will not be on the schedule anymore and will be private classes only – Lead Window, Soldering, Foiling, Bevel Box, Designing, Glass Etching, Mosaic Mold and Mosaic Brick. All other workshops and classes will still be on the schedule!

More glass, supplies and tools are coming, to be followed by solder! The lead shipment is already here!  -must figure out where to put it! LOL Glass will have to stay in the crates for now and we will have to lift them out!

 Chitchat

The Spring class students did it again! They totally wowed me with their beautiful projects and the quality of workmanship. So very rewarding for me as their instructor – Thank you. Big hug.

We closed for the month of July to redo the entryway – First, I don’t think I have ever had a month off! Second – Murphy’s law, of mice and men etc. – nothing went as planned for me to get stuff done! ha-ha.

David figured out he lifted 10.000 or so pounds in that month between removing the old tiles and posts and installing the new ones. Wow he now has his muscles back!

Third – I went on a cleaning spree on the closets & storage rooms, which is just great, but then you must get rid of it! Between that, the redo of the entryway, and garden clean up, our car goes automatically to land fill without any help!

Private Workshop/Class

Private classes are available for help in designing, color glass selection, soldering and other techniques. This can be cost effective and very productive as I am totally focused on you and your project. I keep you on track, as my fee is $90 per hour.

Just a Reminder

No room to work at home? Want some company? You can come and work in the studio if you would like, Wed. to Sat. from noon to 6:00pm. Please call first in case I have a workshop or class! I work until at least 9:00 pm on those days, so evenings can work too if this is better for you. Just let me know. Cost is $5/hr. which includes grinder time. FREE for current students.  No instruction or teaching – not fair to the other students! You must clean up before you leave!!! Tools are available as well if needed. Please call for more info.

Just a laugh for you before I go!

A police officer stops a minivan full of elderly ladies being driven by an old gentleman because they only going 25 mph, stopping the midday traffic. The policeman asks why they are going so slow. The old man replies, “It’s the speed limit, I saw the sign saying 25. The policeman sighs. “No sir that’s the number of the highway you are on, not the speed limit. “Oh, so that’s what it means.” says the driver. The officer looks into the van and notices the grannies are looking somewhat frozen and pale. “What’s up with the ladies?” he asks. “Um…” the driver says, “we just got off highway 150.”
